AB Arts Days

Alberta Foundation for the Arts Board of Directors Appointment



I have just been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Alberta Foundation for the Arts!! This is a 3 year term and starts immediately.

For those of you who are Albertan, my door (and inbox) is always open and I look forward to discussing anything and everything about the AFA with you. Please be in touch at any time regarding the organization to my contact info below.

For those of you who don't know about the AFA: it is run through the Culture and Community Spirit ministry in the Government of Alberta. 'The Foundation exists to fund, encourage, and support the development of arts as a valuable contributor to quality of life in Alberta, and to maintain and expand the AFA art collection as a strategic resource for all Albertans.'

The 3rd annual Wetaskiwin Jazz Camp has just wrapped up...



...and it was a resounding success! The students were amazing once again and the faculty were inspiring. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this special year and supported us. The 2012 Wetaskiwin Jazz Camp will be July 8-13, 2012 in Wetaskiwin. We are very excited to announce multiple Grammy nominee Rogério Boccato from Brazil/NYC as our Special Guest Artist!

Very happy to announce that my 2nd CD, 1+4, has just been nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in the 'Jazz Recording of the Year' category!! Thanks to everyone that was a part of this exciting project.  This is the 2nd year in a row one of my CDs has been nominated.
